The OSPT Collection was inspired by a walk on the beach in Montauk, when Laura Lobdell found a cache of cans left so long in the dunes that their paint had been striped to gun metal gray.  Feeling their humble beauty, she took the cans and their tabs to her studio in the city. 

The OSPT are part of the heritage of Laura Lobdell designs.  Over the years of making them, clients have shared stories of impromptu proposals and have presented the OSPT as placeholder engagement rings worn on the hand or as a necklace -- one white diamond version was presented to the fiancé-to be in Rome!
